NFF President, Amaju Pinnick Charged With $8,400, N4bn Fraud
The President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick and four others have been charged, by the Federal Government, with supposed misappropriation of $8,400 having a place with the football body.
In a 17-check charge recorded under the steady gaze of the Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday, the cash was said to have been paid by the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) to the NFF as appearance expenses in the gathering condition of the Russia 2018 World Cup.
Named with Pinnick in the charge, are NFF Secretary, Sunusi Mohammed; the first Vice-President, Seyi Akinwumi; the second Vice-President, Shehu Dikko and an Executive part, Yusuff Fresh.
The respondents were additionally blamed for "moving insincerely and deliberately the aggregate of about N4bn" having a place with the NFF without the assent of the NFF.
The five are additionally blamed, in the charge recorded by the Special Presidential Investigation Panel for the Recovery of Public Property (SPIP), driven by Okoi Obono-Obla, of coming up short and fail to proclaim their advantages.
