Abeokuta South Reps Aspirant, Akamo Meets LG Apex Leaders Ahead Primaries

Ahead of the 2023 general elections, a frontline Aspirant for House of Representatives in Abeokuta South Federal Constituency Hon Sunday Akamo today visited the APC party local government Apex Leaders led by Chief Femi Majekodunmi to seek for their support ahead the party primaries election.
The meeting was held at the Chairman SUBEB Ogun State,
Chief Majekodunmi Ibara Housing Estate Abeokuta in attendance with other leaders of the local government which included the former Commissioner for youths and sports, Hon Bukola Olopade, Rt Hon Titi Oseni-Gomez, former speaker Ogun state house of Assembly, Hon Egunjobi, Senior Special Adviser on Housing, APC local government executives and the elder advisory board among others.
Hon. Akamo who was a former councilor in the local government said he's coming out for the House of Representatives position in 2023 because of his experience, qualified also have the quality that other aspirants has.
He said, despite being a youth among other aspirants he have all what it takes to contest the election appealing to the leaders not to back one aspirant from others.
Addressing journalists shortly after the meeting, the leading aspirant reinstated his commitment to APC, saying that he will never be discouraged irrespective of the outcome of the party primaries.
According to him, “The leaders only gave advise to prepare our mind. As a youth I dont need to be discouraged.”
He describes himself as been confident and totally ready for the primaries, which he tagged on his industrial and managerial experience.
I have experience and I have a lot of confidence. I have experience, to represent at the House of representative is no issue for me because I have Industrial and management experience.
According to Akamo, his experience as a one time councillor is needed in his aspiration as a member, House of Representatives.
Answering questions on whether he would defect to another party in case he losses out in the primaries, he said, he remains in APC, “there is a lot of step to be taken, I don’t need to decamp from this party. I remain in this party.”
Earlier, an APC leader and Chairman, SUBEB, Chief Femi Majekodunmi describes Hon. Sunday Akamo as a young, vibrant and courageous individual while appealing to the leaders to support his ambition.
Titi Oseni in her remark, refers to Hon. Sunday Akamo as an intelligent young man, speaking from the mannerism at which he addressed the leaders
She appreciated his courage and his ability in bringing more than 20 party leaders in Abeokuta South to the meeting, noting that this could only be possible due to his good attitude.
She prayed to God on his behalf to make his aspiration a success.
Former commissioner for Youths and Sports, Bukola Olopade, acknowledged the youthfulness of Hon. Sunday Akamo, while calling on him to be careful of the leaders who may not be able to tell him the truth, noting that, 80% of them are supporting Afolabi Afuape, which some of them objected.
Olopade noted in his remark that, Abeokuta south is known for supporting a Youthful Aspirant.
Hon. Olalekan Adegun describes Hon. Sunday Akamo as a faithful party member who performed diligently while he was a former chief whip of Abeokuta South.
He prayed the leaders to support his aspiration, noting that he will do their bidding once elected.
Hon. Sunday Akamo appreciated all the leaders for their warm reception as they received him.
