You'll be Remembered as the Governor of the People, Your Achievements in Ekiti Speak for You - Gateway Progressive Youths Celebrate Gov. Fayemi

As the Ekiti State Governor-elect, Biodun Oyebanji, will today be inaugurated as the governor of the state for a term of four years following the expiration of the four-year tenure of Governor Kayode Fayemi, the Gateway Progressives Youths has congratulated Dr. John Kayode Fayemi on the successful completion of his tenure

as Governor of Ekiti State.

This was contained in a press statement made available to newsmen by the Director of Publicity, Olamide David, today.

The statement reads, "The totality of your eight years as Governor has been marked with remarkable excellence and immeasurable positive impact in Ekiti. 

"Your leadership style exemplifies trans-generational qualities, and you have left a footprint that will never be forgotten. You have matched vision with courage and sincerity, and have deployed your God-given brilliance and experience to raise the bar of governance in Ekiti state to an enviable height.

"We rejoice with you today as you bow out honorably as the Governor of Ekiti State, having justified the purpose for which you were elected by the people of Ekiti to lead the state as your achievements have inspired confidence in the minds of the people through your developmental programmes and policies within your years in office.

"We are proud of your contributions to national development, nation-building and service to humanity, your reign as the Minister of Solid Minerals and

Development, the records are there and they attest to your quality delivery of

developmental projects that generations will use and appreciate.

"As Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum, your leadership was fruitful,

engaging and rewarding. Your exploits as the NGF Chair have been impactful. You

have driven collective struggles, led impactful agitation for the good of our people and the nation.

"Your election as the President of Forum of Regions of Africa (FORAF) in

Casablanca, Morocco speaks volume. It affirms our belief that you have always been an instrument of peace, progress and prosperity not only for the people of Ekiti State, but the entire country.

"You have always demonstrated capacity and competence in handling responsibilities entrusted to you. Your determination not to leave the State as you met it has resulted into bountiful gains for the people of the state. Your tenure was filled with unprecedented performance."
