Oyo State Achieves Milestone with Commencement of Gas Pipeline Welding in Partnership with Shell

The Oyo State Government has achieved a significant breakthrough in its ongoing gas pipeline infrastructure project as welding on the first set of pipes commenced yesterday.

The Honourable Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Barr. Nurudeen Ashamu Temilolu Seun, shared this development, emphasizing its role in advancing energy security and economic transformation in the state.

“This marks a major milestone on the gas project and a key component of our vision for energy security in Oyo State,” he remarked.

The project, developed in partnership with Shell, aims to deliver piped natural gas to businesses and households across the state, creating a robust foundation for industrial growth and sustainable economic development.
